Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Amazon Relay Box Truck Driver for night shifts to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely delivering goods to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and moving loads. The position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Safely operate a box truck for route driving during night shifts, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks and liftgate when necessary
Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure proper functioning of the truck
Deliver packages accurately and on time to designated locations, maintaining high levels of customer service
Assist with warehouse tasks including moving goods, organizing inventory, and preparing shipments for delivery
Maintain detailed records of deliveries, and any issues encountered during routes
Follow company policies for load securing, safety procedures, and route planning
Skills
Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with warehouse or commercial driving background. CDL not required.
Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills to optimize delivery efficiency
Ability to handle heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo
Experience operating box trucks with automatic transmissions and familiarity with forklift or pallet jack operation is a plus
Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients
Good driving record with valid driver’s license, and obtain a dot medical card.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Physical stamina for long periods of driving and manual handling of goods during night shifts
