My wife and I just moved to Knoxville, Tennessee and we love it. We just got married, and are looking to buy a mid-century modern house (I know, the term is overused). We're looking for something built between 1930-1970, preferably built by a local architect.

We're particularly interested in houses containing floor-to-ceiling windows, lots of wood/stone, and a fireplace. Would love to find a FSBO, a single-owner type of transaction where we could purchase and care for the place.
The wife and I are not investors, just architecture enthusiasts hoping to live in and care for a home with good bones.
