The dark fret markers are high quality dot stickers which my guitar tech applied for me some years ago. They can be carefully removed with Goo Gone if desired. The fretboard is lacquered so don’t worry about removing the dots. I had Greg install laser light activated ,glow in the dark top fingerboard markers. Use a small laser flashlight or small regular flashlight and aim it at the top dot markers to charge them so you can see your top fingerboard position on a dark or dimly lighted stage. Greg Barcus’ craftsmanship is out of this world! I am parting with this beauty since I am playing my 4 strings all the time, and the Barcus stays safely in its original, well padded gig bag. The woods used on this bass are gorgeous and give tons of resonance. It has a reinforced , dual truss rod with one Musicman style adjustment “wheel“(see pic below), not neck heavy at all and balances superbly. and I never seem to have to adjust the neck, even during climate changes. Built like a tank, but without a hefty weight. All USA made components, except for the high quality, Gotoh tuners, made in Japan. Super clean condition since I rarely played or required a 5 string. Handmade pickups made to emulate Wal Bass pickups. Black and bronze , two tone bridge. Thanks for looking!
