From circa the early 1900’s a very nice bowlback mandolin (‘tater bug’). No name on it but very likely made by Washburn, Lyon & Healey, or some similar instrument company of that time. 26 rib back of Brazilian rosewood, with an attractive Braz. rosewood veneer on the front of the headstock, and a beautiful shell inlay between the soundhole and bridge. In excellent cosmetic and playing condition, with low action, and no cracks or damage— just minimal, way less than average wear for an over 100 year old mandolin. Plays all the way up the neck, and the tuners work smoothly. Comes in a modern gig bag. Can meet in the Bearden/West Hills area. Cash only or can trade with cash towards older Gibson, Martin, Guild acoustic or electric guitars.
