Solid wood with built-in keyhole hanger on the back. Since we didn't want to drill holes in the face of our mantel, my husband installed angle brackets on the backs of these. You can drill the holes on the underside of the mantel to hang Mr. & Mrs. Santa each year. When they are being stored the other 11 months of the year, there are no ugly holes showing. I am including the super plush stockings and the wood screws as well. Fantastic 'First Christmas Together' gift for favorite newlyweds.
