Chinese Fir, Cunninghamia lanceolata, is a rare and unusual conifer or evergreen tree, not often found in nurseries or garden centers. The lance-shaped needles are very distinctive, and the bark is red and peeling, adding to its attractiveness. The cones are small and oval and ornamental in their own right. It can eventually grow to 30-70 feet in height. These first year seedlings are quite healthy and 2” in height. You would probably want to grow these up in a pot for a year or so before planting it out doors.
