Vintage wood strip canoe for sale. I built this boat in the early 90s. It was made from Western red Cedar and basswood with a few black walnut accents. It's 11'6" and 27 inches at the beam. This is a very unique canoe was designed by Rob Roy in the 1800s. It paddles like a kayak you sit on the bottom with a double blade. Weighs about 30 pounds extremely easy to portage. Plus it's very swift in the water. Most likely best suited as a display piece because of its age. But with a little bit of TLC it could easily be put back into use. It only went on one major voyage. Shortly after I finished it I spent two weeks in the Adirondacks portage and from like the lake. I think I covered 10 different lakes.
