Handmade by "1" of my Grandfather's "8" Brothers.. He was a master craftsman in wood, building, etc.. The small box is wood, handmade, sliding cover, 6.5"L x3"W x2" D. In my G'pa's writing, on the top it says "Chessmen 1925". G'pa's writing......On the side is my G'ma's name with date of Feb 22 1924. There are 32 pc, all pictured, 1 set of pieces is natural wood lighter than the box,, and the other set is black... They are in perfect condition. Made on a small lathe, hand sanded. Probably a gift, and the only one in existence.. !!! The pawns are 1" tall, the King is 2 5/8" tall..
