2337 Fine Ave - ("ADORABLE craftsman...") is a scam, this house is actually currently FOR SALE ONLY. Please do not send these people money! Any post you find asking you to email "Blevinso333" is A SCAM! Beware! Update: The scammer was (until today) going by "BlevinsO". Now his name is gone from his illegal postings, but beware, he's still preying on this house! The more he does it, the easier it is for the State of Tennessee to find him so KEEP IT UP, BlevinsO!!
And please, if you email with this scammer (and I'm grateful for every one of you who does so), send ALL your emails (with the headers - the stuff you don't usually look at that tells the email addresses involved, and IP addresses, etc.) directly to ME so I can update this fraud file with the State. (And if you are the undercover detective assigned to this one, and you're reading this, THANK YOU for your excellent work, I can't wait to press charges after you hook this scammer.)
This house is LISTED FOR SALE with Coldwell Banker Wallace & Wallace, REALTORS and this scammer 9in addition to FRAUD) has violated federal copyright law by stealing licensed photographs for his own use - we will be prosecuting.
Many, many people have fallen victim to the scam, which goes like this (often they prefer to email rather than talk because many of these scams are run from overseas):
You: I'd like to see the house.
Them: Oh I live out of town - oh I'm in the military overseas - or some other excuse why they can't just let you in the house.
Them: Just go look in the windows and see if you like it. But I do have other people who have said they want it already.
You: (worried because it's really cute and such a good deal) Oh, you do.
Them: Yes, but I feel like I can trust you. Send me 1st month's rent and deposit and I'll send the keys directly to the house addressed to you. (Sometimes they say they will send you an "application" to the house's mailbox, and you must complete it and send it back before they get to the "send me the money" part.)
You: OK, where do I send the check?
Them: You can just wire it to me or use SendMoney (or some other service.) I can't cash a check here.
You: OK, I'm so excited.
Them: Great (I can't wait for your money that you will never see again to arrive! Cha-ching.)
Don't fall victim to this scam - PLEASE flag any Craigslist ad where they say they can't personally show you the house for rent!! And never send ANYONE money - get checks and USE them, and only with people whom you've personally met. Wire fraud (that's when they steal your money by having you send it electronically) is a HUGE problem right now across the country. Get informed, and inform others!!
