About Tryst:
A hotel room becomes the “intimate” stage for four interrelated performances based on a series of lovers’ rendezvous. Eight local (Knoxville and surrounding area) actors/performers will be paired up to enact specific yet loosely scripted roles. For each of the four exhibition days one of the couples will “move in” to the hotel room for their lovers’ tryst. Some of the themes addressed in Tryst are intimacy, sexuality, voyeurism, gender roles, infidelity, private vs. public space, physical vs. virtual space, and the space between art and life. Tryst is part of Live Gestures, an ongoing series of performance pieces by the artist in which the audience plays a participatory role in the work.

Note: Actors and Performers selected for this project will be needed for 1–2 days of actual performances and will receive a stipend and credit for their participation in the work. Each performer will also receive one complimentary ticket for each of the two nights of the NPN Performance Showcase at the Bijou on Fri 12/11 and Sat 12/12.

Murder on American Idle is an interactive murder mystery dinner show loosely based on the popular American Idol tv show.
We are seeking understudies for the following roles:
Paula Fazoul(female): Her elevator doesn't go all the way to the top floor, but very fun and enthusiastic. Character based on Paula Abdul.
Simon Cowan (male): Mean, uncaring, and terribly rude. English accent required. Character based on Simon Cowell.
Niles Jackson (male): Crazy, cool, and fun. Character based on Randy Jackson, but is performing the job of Ryan Seacrest.
Who Dunnit Luci? is an interactive murder mystery dinner show loosely based on the classic and beloved tv show, I Love Lucy. All characters in Who Dunnit Luci? sing.
We are seeking understudies for the following roles:
Luci Bacardi (female): Wacky, zany, daffy, not afraid of any scheme no matter how ludicrous it is as long as it will get her into her husband's show. Character based on Lucy Ricardo. Character singing. Sings Mambo Italiano.
Ethel Hertz/Deeva Gabour (female): Luci's best friend and is constantly sucked into Luci's scheming vortex. Deeva is the female star of The Tropicanna and very statuesque, polished, sophisticated. Ethel character is on Ethel Mertz, Deeva character is based on Eva Gabour from Green Acres. Alto. Sings Mambo Italiano.
Ricky Bacardi (male): Cuban club owner, Luci's husband. Constantly trying to keep his wife's scheming to a minimum. Cuban accent required. Character based on Ricky Ricardo. Tenor. Sings Copa Cobanna.
Fred Hertz (male): Ricky's landlord and best friend, married to Ethel. Gruff and rough around the edges but has a performing past and is currently working at the Tropicanna. Falsetto. Sings the female lines in People Will Say We're in Love.
All shows are scripted, but strong improvisors are encouraged to attend.
Auditions will be held at The Great Smoky Mountain Murder Mystery Dinner Theater,2680 Teaster Ln, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863-3297 (888) 685-8862 on Monday, November 16, 2009 10AM-2PM.
Please prepare a one minute comedic monologue and 16-32 bars of a comedic song of your choice with cd accompaniment. Cd player will be provided.
I'm not in the position to pay at the moment,and I don't really expect to get paid.Would really like to find a photographer looking to expand their portfolio and help me expand mine-maybe tfcd kind of deal.Also looking for a photographer that may have pretty good ideas,because honestly i'm not the greatest at coming up with ideas for poses and such yet.
