If you found a pet:
Call the Young-Williams Animal Center at 215-6665 to post a description in the “Found Pet Log”. People looking for their pets at the shelter are told to check this log each time they come in. Also try to bring the found pet by a vet clinic or animal shelter to get it scanned for a microchip.

If you lost a pet:
Go to the shelter as soon as possible to look for your lost pet. Strays are sometimes only held for 3 days (including they day they came in). Make sure you do a “walk-thru” at the minimum every other day. DO NOT CALL the shelter to ask if your pet is there. It is impossible to someone to look for your pet because they routinely get 50-100 animals a day. Make sure to check the Found Pet Log for pets not in the shelter and to post yours in the “Lost Pet Log”.

The Young-Williams Animal Center will microchip your pet for only $20. This permanent I.D. can be purchased anytime they are open and all animals that come into the shelter are scanned for a microchip.

She is gentle but also protective of her master. She just had her yearly shots and her teeth cleaned.
She is a very good dog, very good. She does not pee or poddy ever in the house.
She stays in the house with me but can and has been an outside dog. She likes both in and out. She will bark if she hears someone coming and her bark is loud. If you are a woman by yourself or with childern this dog would be good for you. She has a brother poodle 10 lbs that she plays with so she would do very well with a good small dog but is not limited to small dogs. She grew up with a cat but still likes to chase (play) them but has never hurt the one I had or any other for that matter. She listens well to her master. He was found starving a couple months ago by some people and they placed him with what they thought was a good home. Within a month Butch found his way back to them, again starving and this time with three bite marks. He is healed now but the people are going out of town and simply can't make arrangements for Butch. They have offered to help with fixing him once they get back. If you can offer a forver home or even temporary housing while a home is found please let me know asap.

Meet Crackers - My gorgeous foster pup is finally ready for his new home! Crackers is a one year old (ish) hound/Catahoula leopard boy. He is house-broken, crate trained, and is incredibly sweet. He is neutered and up to date on all of his vaccinations. Crackers is also on flea/tick/heartworm preventative.


Crackers is very social and loves dogs of all sizes. He was brought up around children, and is incredible gentle with them. Though he is a big boy (60 lbs), he is a doll to walk on a leash and never tugs. He has not been through obedience training yet, but is so smart and eager to please that obedience classes will be easy for him!


Crackers loves to snuggle, swim, and play fetch. For such a young boy, he is incredibly mellow - he just likes to spend time with "his people". He is looking for a family/person with lots of love to give - and someone who will take him swimming/to the dog park from time to time.

It could take a week to sell our home, or it could take 6 months to sell our home. Our hope is that we can sell, and then buy a home straight off that we can move into... But if that doesn't happen, we will have to rent an effenciey typed place until we can buy a house there. We have 4 cats, and 3 dogs, and I know finding a place to rent (if we'll need to) will be nearly impossible...

I'm looking for someone who does pet boarding, for a resonable price. I'm not sure when it would start (I would know when my house sells of course), and I'm not sure how long it would take us to find a home if there is a gap... I just want someone on backup, who would be able to care for 2 of my dogs while we were looking for a home.

The two dogs I'd need boarded are Siberian Huskies. Right now, they are 4 months old... Brother and Sister. They are doing well with potty training, and they are crate trained. I would supply all of their food, toys, treats, leashes, crates, etc... I would also like the option to visit them. They are used to other dogs (I have a pomeranian as well) and they are used to cats too.

If you think you may be able to help us if this situation arises, please email me so we can chat. I'll have several questions. I'd rather do an in person thing, but I'm currently living 6 hours away, which would make that difficult. ; )

I'm also open to suggestions of places that have a month to month lease (or maybe a 3 month) that would allow my pets.

She had strolled up to my place of employment which is in Jamestown, TN. She has been outside for the past 2 days. I have given her food and water each day and she has not left. Not sure how she is with other pets, but is great with people and needs a good home.

I am looking for someone who will give her a great home, but would need someone to get her within the next day. I really do not want to bring her to a humane society or somewhere else, but do not want her getting hurt out there.
