Responsibilities:
• Counsel victims regarding domestic violence dynamics and legal/social options
• Provide direction and support to victims through the legal process
• Follow procedures in retrieving case files, completing forms, and documenting disposition of case
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure that partners maintain confidentiality
• Identify victims’ immediate needs
• Interact with agencies/businesses within the Hispanic community to cultivate resources for Hispanic victims and their families
• Ensure the delivery of culturally and linguistically specific services to victims of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking
• Work with VAP staff and partner agencies to develop and implement training materials for persons working with Hispanic victims and a curriculum to educate Hispanic youth

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in victim assistance/legal advocacy or life experiences that indicate sensitivity to victim issues. Must have experience in and knowledge of the court system and domestic violence dynamics.
