The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) is looking for a project engineer/scientist for the Energy Utilization area of its Power Delivery &amp; Utilization Sector. 
In This Position
In this role, you will:
&nbsp;
<ul>
    <li>Provide technical services for transmission, distribution, and end-use/low-voltage power systems simulation and modeling studies.&nbsp; </li>
    <li>Work with senior staff to complete modeling and simulation based power system studies. </li>
    <li>Provide resources for managing existing and expected future workload for the Critical Power team. </li>
</ul>
The Ideal Candidate
<ul>
    <li>Holds a technical or bachelors degree in engineering, sciences or equivalent work experience with related work experience in a technical or scientific area (a masters degree in electrical engineering with an emphasis in analysis and design of power systems is preferred). </li>
    <li>Candidate should have at least academic experience conducting power systems analytical studies with an emphasis on modeling and simulation.&nbsp; </li>
    <li>Has experience with power flow and dynamic stability simulations and analysis of energy storage and renewable power systems.&nbsp; </li>
    <li>Has experience with PSS/E, MATLAB, PSCAD EMTDC or equivalent, and other power system simulation platforms. </li>
    <li>Can effectively multitask and manage multiple projects, coordinate and facilitate technical engineering-related communications with peers and clients, and apply scientific and engineering principles, theories, and concepts. </li>
    <li>Has impeccable communication, writing and presentation skills. </li>
    <li>Demonstrates a strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills </li>

The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) is looking for asenior project manager for energy utilization projects in its Power Delivery and Utilization Sector. In this role, you will work with EPRI’s Energy Efficiency Demonstration (EED) team as it develops and demonstrates hyper-efficient heating, cooling and lighting technologies and appliances.

In This Position
In this role:

    <ul>
        <li>Identify technical needs and initiate project/program. </li>
        <li>Develop project plans. </li>

The Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) is looking for a project manager with technical experience for the Particulate Controls area of its Generation&nbsp;Sector.

In This Position
&nbsp;
Working at EPRI is truly a unique experience and EPRI Project Managers perform tasks outside of the &ldquo;traditional&rdquo; project management role. Along with your typical project management duties, you will:
&nbsp;
<ul>
    <li>Manage all technical and financial facets of Particulate Controls projects:
    <ul>
        <li>Identify technical needs and initiate project/program. </li>
        <li>Develop project plans. </li>
        <li>Manage all tasks and resources (may include management/supervision of support staff). </li>
        <li>Conduct process and procedure evaluations. </li>
        <li>Assure that all projects are completed on time and within budget. </li>
        <li>Organize technical support staff and contractors. </li>
        <li>Lead meetings of funders, EPRI staff and external contractors. </li>
        <li>Develop and communicate project results, industry guidelines and technical reports to staff and utility committees. </li>
        <li>Transfer knowledge and provide direct support to project sponsors. </li>
    </ul>
    </li>
    <li>Be or become a national expert in particulate controls. </li>
    <li>Assist members with difficult particulate control problems (exposure to the full array of existing equipment and past issues, newly emerging technologies, EPRI&rsquo;s ESP performance prediction model) </li>
    <li>Develop and implement a particulate control R&amp;D strategy to help members maintain their existing fleet, prefer for new requirements, and meet very stringent emission limits for any new plants or those that may eventually be retrofit with CO2 controls. </li>
    <li>Manage ongoing projects to evaluate new technologies and address new issues (e.g., impacts on particulate emissions due to increased unburned carbon, injected activated carbon, or injected alkali for SO2/SO3 control.&nbsp;&nbsp; </li>
</ul>

    <li>Understands hardware and software development. </li>

Air permitting and compliance tasks include working with industrial clients to obtain air permits for new facilities, modifying air permits for changing facilities, and providing support for ongoing compliance activities. The work includes:<br>
• performing emission calculations and filling out permit forms, <br>
• preparing permit application packages,<br>
• air dispersion modeling,<br>
• determining how to comply with applicable federal and state regulations,<br>
• air pollution control technology evaluations, and<br>
