Position Available: TODDLER TEACHER / INFANT TEACHER 1 HOUR PER DAY
The successful candidate for this position is an effective and engaging group leader of children as well as a mentor to other group leaders, a coordinator of center activities and planning and is a support to the director and center operations.
Experience in a licensed child care program is preferred for this position. Will train inexperienced candidate demonstrating impressive professionalism and personality with a verifiable work history and detailed references.
Average 32-35 hours per week. No late nights. No weekends. Great work environment. Paid training.

Students: Work with a variety of students at all grade levels on an individual or one-to-one basis. There are no discipline problems, so you can concentrate on teaching. Full time staff conducts all parent discussions; you have no interaction with parents.
No outside work: With no homework to correct, lesson plans to develop or parent phone calls to return, you just walk into the Center and begin teaching. Everything is ready for you.
Flexible hours: Our after school and summer hours adapt to your changing schedule. Since no preparation is needed beforehand, it is an ideal after school job that is even better than tutoring on your own. Our teaching hours are Monday-Thursday from 4:00PM to 8:00PM and Saturdays from 9:00AM to 1:00PM. Basic Requirements:
Computer teachers should have minimum basic operational knowledge of computers.

Through hands-on learning, students become active leaders and educators about energy efficiency in their schools, homes and communities.
The Local Project Leader would work closely with the TVA Green Schools project manager in working with schools to integrate energy efficiency into their classroom learning; carry out energy-savings projects at school; and take the energy-efficiency message home and into the community.
In this role the LPL would:
• Participate with Alliance staff to plan and coordinate TVA Green Schools Program activities
• Be directly responsible for coordinating activities at 5-7 schools
o Work with teams of teachers, administrators, custodians, and students to carry out their Green Schools plan
o Assist teams in locating energy saving opportunities at their schools
o Coordinate monthly school visits with teams to provide additional resources and/or troubleshoot challenges
• Assist in coordinating 3 meetings throughout the 2009-10 school year
o Winter: All-day professional development workshop in Feb/March.
o Spring: celebratory event to reward students, teachers, and schools for their work on the project in May/June
• Assist in coordinating 3 meetings throughout the 2010-2011 school year
o Fall: All-day professional development workshop in Oct.
o Winter: After-school meeting to convene all school teams in Jan/Feb
o Spring: Evening celebratory event to reward students, teachers, and schools for their work on the project in May/June
• Assist in and/or coordinate community events to promote energy efficiency
• Other activities as opportunities develop throughout the program.
